Nicanor Oliveiro made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Criciúma Esporte Clube's Julian Robira. Julian Robira kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Nestor Inko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evelio Antoniano. Criciúma Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nestor Inko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 30th minute Nestor Inko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Antoniano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Inko came free, but Evelio Antoniano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Criciúma Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Armando Iturburu. 41 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Inko came free, but Evelio Antoniano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evelio Antoniano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Inko, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Criciúma Esporte Clube's Evelio Antoniano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Inko in the 85th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Evelio Antoniano successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Armando Iturburu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucio Geofredo having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Criciúma Esporte Clube's Armando Iturburu got a free kick in the 90th minute. Evelio Antoniano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantino Seguinus, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 95 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Tavio. After a defensive mix-up in Florida Gulf Coast's zone, Yeferson Soteldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Geofredo came out of the goal and Yeferson Soteldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Criciúma Esporte Clube fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Florida Gulf Coast were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
