In the 8th minute Emiliano Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jo Øverås saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliksas Fenichev to maneuver through the defense. Jo Øverås showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Emiliano Velasco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jo Øverås was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Bonet in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Velasco in the 38th minute of play forced Daustad's goalkeeper Jo Øverås to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kevin Bernini came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Bonet in the 46th minute of play forced Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Alvaro Raymond might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jo Øverås. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Raymond ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the game, He Jing threw the ball into play from the sideline. Despidida AFC's Kajetan Gdowik quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 89 minutes, Kajetan Gdowik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Despidida AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kajetan Gdowik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peng Song Ting hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Despidida AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
