Zygmunt Dunajski took the ball and in the 2 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victor Ologu. Victor Ologu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Raureni Academy getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Francisc Ţăranu hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Constantin Deșliu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Ologu was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. 12 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Zygmunt Dunajski came free, but Victor Ologu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Raureni Academy's Cornel Manciulea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marian Văduvescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Constantin Deșliu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Ologu. Raureni Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantin Deșliu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Pompiliu Andrițoiu's late challenge caught a FC Steaua Pildesti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pompiliu Andrițoiu helped the player get up and apologised. Pompiliu Andrițoiu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Victor Ologu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolae Barbu in the 21st minute of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Constantin Deșliu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victor Ologu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Victor Ologu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucian Stere in the 37th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Constantin Deșliu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victor Ologu was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After 42 minutes Raureni Academy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Terry Doyle who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Nicolae Barbu managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Victor Ologu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolae Barbu, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constantin Deșliu was the one to do the kick off. Victor Ologu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Constantin Deșliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Victor Ologu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolae Barbu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Constantin Deșliu's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Victor Ologu firmly grabbed it by the left post. Constantin Deșliu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Victor Ologu skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Victor Ologu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 72 played minutes FC Steaua Pildesti got a freekick which was hit by Terry Doyle. Victor Ologu made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Zygmunt Dunajski sent off a good shot on target. Raureni Academy's Victor Ologu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Deșliu in the 77th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Raureni Academy's Ionel Cârneci got a free kick in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Constantin Deșliu in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Ologu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Ologu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolae Barbu in the 87th minute. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when FC Steaua Pildesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Terry Doyle didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Nicolae Barbu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victor Ologu. Victor Ologu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. When the final whistle sounded FC Steaua Pildesti left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Raureni Academy.
