After a rather tough play, Soroca F.C.'s Hernan Lano got a free kick in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ionel Cârneci during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Raureni Academy getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ionel Cârneci hit a great ball. Ivan Aanicăi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernan Lano went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ivan Aanicăi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Lano in the 11th minute of play. Soroca F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gustavo Tartalo in the 12th minute. Soroca F.C.'s Gustavo Tartalo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ivan Aanicăi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 20 minutes into the match, Adrián Espadas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Aanicăi. Raureni Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adrián Espadas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Cristinel Tomozei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Aanicăi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Espadas in the 33rd minute of the match. Cristinel Tomozei's late challenge caught a Soroca F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristinel Tomozei helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Soroca F.C. booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristinel Tomozei didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrián Espadas in the 38th minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Ivan Aanicăi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 38 minutes of play, Soroca F.C.'s Adrián Espadas made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivan Aanicăi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ivan Aanicăi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernan Lano, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half Soroca F.C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Hernan Lano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ivan Aanicăi was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Ivan Aanicăi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernan Lano in the 55th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Raureni Academy's zone, Iordanis Karatzaferis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Aanicăi came out of the goal and Iordanis Karatzaferis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Godofredo Quilino replaced Amador Venceslao. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Răzvan Necula replaced Adrián Espadas. When Răzvan Necula came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Soroca F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Răzvan Necula couldn't finish the play. Pompiliu Andrițoiu took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dan Wennerqvist. Dan Wennerqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Rodolfo Atarrabi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ivan Aanicăi made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Răzvan Necula got free with Ivan Aanicăi in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ivan Aanicăi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Răzvan Necula, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Dan Wennerqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisc Ţăranu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Necula in the 98th minute of play forced Raureni Academy's goalkeeper Ivan Aanicăi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Raureni Academy fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Soroca F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
