Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Cantero in the 3rd minute of play. Blas Aritza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After 8 played minutes, Peru's Moises Gayoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Blas Aritza came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Peru reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Cantero in the 9th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 11th minute of play forced La Acade's goalkeeper Blas Aritza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Acade's goalkeeper Blas Aritza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Cantero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, La Acade's Alejandro Vistruario got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Leonard Lamczyk tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 27th minute of play forced La Acade's goalkeeper Blas Aritza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Blas Aritza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 34th minute of play. Peru were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after La Acade's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. In the 43rd minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Blas Aritza made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guillermo Soin during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 54th minute, Guillermo Soin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blas Aritza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Julian Murillo in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blas Aritza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonard Lamczyk in the 58th minute of play. The La Acade fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 69th minute Kip William shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match, Milagros Fraga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Blas Aritza was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The throw-in from Stelian Avram in the 85th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Gallo got free with Blas Aritza in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rafael Gallo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Blas Aritza came out and tried to block the shot, but Rafael Gallo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Peru's Eliseo Mina got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kip William in the 96th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
