But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andreas Åhlberg couldn't finish the play. Gesner Philippe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Eric Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Noel Seide showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Åhlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Haiti booed when Björnlunda IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Åhlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haiti's attentive Ernso Constant managed to snatch the ball when Boris Käcker made a throw-in in the 60th minute of the game.
