Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hoàng Thuy to make the kick off. Carlos Fernando Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 51st minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gisbert to maneuver through the defense. In the 69th minute, Agustín Saelices reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlos Fernando Alvarenga. The goal made the score 0-6. 72 minutes into the game, Dinei Rosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dinei Rosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Uno Mille FC's Diguinho Sousa was substituted for Hoàng Thuy. The referee gave Ecuador a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Zorita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Uno Mille FC's Carlos Fernando Alvarenga. 1-8. Dinei Rosa kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Uno Mille FC throughout the match.
