Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Özen Mukremin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nechifor Zeciu was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özen Mukremin in the 16th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Ionică Sinulescu made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. Bucura's Nechifor Zeciu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 20th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nechifor Zeciu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bucura's Ionică Sinulescu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alonso Berganza, made in the 26th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Bucura's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Nechifor Zeciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Milagros Fraga got free with Nechifor Zeciu in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
