An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 9th minute of play forced Xentrias's goalkeeper Jonathan Hansson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Hansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Xentrias's Jonathan Hansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Luis Andino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Hansson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 21st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Hansson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Hansson came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jonathan Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Hansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Felix Montenegro went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 45thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xentrias's Jonathan Hansson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jonathan Hansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Xentrias's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Jonathan Hansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute. When Luis Andino came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Andino couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Hansson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Jonathan Hansson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 61st minute. Jonathan Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 63rd minute of the match. Jonathan Hansson was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Camilo Gisbert capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Camilo Gisbert really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Hansson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Jonathan Hansson in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 75 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Hansson. Xentrias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. In the 87th minute, Luis Andino fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jonathan Hansson, passed just outside the right post. After 88 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Hansson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felix Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Hansson made a huge save. Jonathan Hansson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-11 was the resulting score. Jonathan Hansson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Xentrias throughout the match.
