Mauro Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Javier Ordaz in the 38th minute of the match. Reynaldo Balladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda de Mendonça in the 44th minute of play. José Javier Ordaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Mauro Barreto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After 51 minutes, Duda de Mendonça mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clube Atlético Palhocense and the Rapa Nui players grew even worse after the yellow card. Duda de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Saúl Anabalon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Balladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duda de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Damario Abufhele blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauro Barreto having to make a save. 58 minutes into the match, Rapa Nui's goalkeeper Reynaldo Balladares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vânderson Guimarães. Rapa Nui's José Javier Ordaz got his second yellow card of the match in the 63rd minute. The referee ordered José Javier Ordaz off the ground. A collision led to Rapa Nui getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. José Javier Ordaz hit a great ball. Luís Fernando França received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vânderson Guimarães in the 85th minute of play forced Rapa Nui's goalkeeper Reynaldo Balladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Atilla Kağan Uzman got free with Reynaldo Balladares in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rapa Nui's Reynaldo Balladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vânderson Guimarães in the 87th minute of play. Reynaldo Balladares made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Atilla Kağan Uzman sent off a good shot on target. Feliciano Kunstmann hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 97 minutes into the match, Frans Henriksson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Balladares. Rapa Nui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frans Henriksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
