Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ederono Vilardell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Ruben might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Liher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Ruben ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Albino Leobardo took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ederono Vilardell to make any attempt to save it. Marco Ruben's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Liher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marco Ruben in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Liher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victorio Dolfo got a throw-in 32 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Vicente Arias. Martin Liher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Ruben in the 45th minute of the match. Marco Ruben sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Ruben was the one to do the kick off. Los Rompepiernas's Martin Liher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Ruben in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Los Rompepiernas's Martin Liher got control of the ball when Marco Ruben tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Ruben got free with Martin Liher in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Marco Ruben's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Martin Liher was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game.
