Virgilio Sotil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florencio Oihan, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After having played for 79 minutes, Modesto Peirano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Modesto Peirano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Villa Mitre's goalkeeper Virgilio Sotil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florencio Oihan. After 87 played minutes Villa Mitre got a freekick which was hit by Benê Gonçalves. 88 minutes into the game, Arif Chian recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Virgilio Sotil. Arif Chian showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. With a little luck, Villa Mitre's Virgilio Sotil got control of the ball when Florencio Oihan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 94 minutes, Benê Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Mitre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florencio Oihan might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgilio Sotil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Florencio Oihan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th minute Florencio Oihan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Sotil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Villa Mitre supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching United's performance. The match ended with a win for United.
