Errecaborda AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joe Tate was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joe Tate took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Mariano Lacasa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmond Verdun having to interfere. Errecaborda AFC's Edmond Verdun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Errecaborda AFC's goalkeeper Edmond Verdun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Mariano Lacasa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edmond Verdun. That made the score 1-3 in the 71 minute of play. A hard shot 75 in the game by Mariano Lacasa from a close distance when the talented Edmond Verdun managed to make a qualified save. Errecaborda AFC's players were relieved. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Jerardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Edmond Verdun made a huge save. In the 79th minute Joe Tate shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Orlando Casaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Errecaborda AFC's Isidro Gines was substituted for Emílio Terra. The supporters of Errecaborda AFC booed when Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Casaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Ado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Pastor Ado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Pastor Ado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Isidro Gines had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidro Gines was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. The Errecaborda AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chile's performance. The match ended with a win for Chile.
