Cristóvão Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rolando Noboa having to make a save. Paranhos Ariranha FC's Gaspar Gilesindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 39th minute of play. After 43 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Alvarado. Paranhos Ariranha FC's Honorato Afonso was substituted for Guillermo Baleren. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlinhos Schmidt to make the kick off. Julian Murillo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Gaspar Gilesindo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlinhos Schmidt went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 86th match minute, Paranhos Ariranha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Francisco Fontes to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Paranhos Ariranha FC's Emanuele Hottiger got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Gaspar Gilesindo had great luck who in the 95thth minute grab hold of the ball when Antonio Tenorio from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post.
