The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind La Mora CAT's goalkeeper Inge Villafane, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Inge Villafane however easily saved by the left post. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Inge Villafane. Cristian Sancho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. After having played for 61 minutes, Alarico Trinidad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Mora CAT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alarico Trinidad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. La Mora CAT's Nabucodonosor Rallo was substituted for Etor Benito. A collision led to La Mora CAT getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Du Jian Chen hit a great ball. Inge Villafane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 64th minute of play. La Mora CAT made a substitution. Tato Feria replaced Du Jian Chen. In the 67th minute, Nabucodonosor Rallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to La Mora CAT getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. After some careless play in the La Mora CAT defense, Luis Andino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inge Villafane. The La Mora CAT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inge Villafane should have stopped the shot. In the 85th minute Sebastian Bergdal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
