The supporters of Inter Gala booed when Yala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Lore didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Inter Gala's Almir Mandrak got a free kick in the 11th minute. Yala's Prudencio Lluciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basílio Ferraz in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Yala booed when Inter Gala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Yala's Bonifacio Romero made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olívio Abraão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Prudencio Lluciano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basílio Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Basílio Ferraz made a precise shot to the right of Prudencio Lluciano. Yala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Yala's Bruno Lawrence got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho de Souza in the 43rd minute of play forced Yala's goalkeeper Prudencio Lluciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes into the match, Inter Gala's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Romero came free, but Olívio Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Romero to maneuver through the defense. When Giuseppe Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Inter Gala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giuseppe Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Bonifacio Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Abraão having to interfere. Olívio Abraão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bonifacio Romero went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Prudencio Lluciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Figueiredo in the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Inter Gala got a corner. Yala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Armandinho Queiroz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Armandinho Queiroz made a great header on Inter Gala's corner, it was just that Yala's Prudencio Lluciano managed to reach the ball for a save.
