FC Koper's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vanderslaike FC the free kick. In the 89th match minute, FC Koper was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Saje to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Paulo José Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vanderslaike FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo José Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bine Šercelj breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bine Šercelj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. FC Koper played a much better game than Vanderslaike FC and deserved their victory. The Vanderslaike FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
