After 12 played minutes Carolo Gil rounded Inter Gala's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. DEPORTIVO SJ were furious when Fabio Ramone was red carded, 16 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 16 minutes into the game, one of DEPORTIVO SJ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Inter Gala a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Armandinho Queiroz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of DEPORTIVO SJ's Ruben Tauro. 1-1. When Enio Capixaba fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Inter Gala's protests and gave Enio Capixaba a yellow card for diving instead. After 21 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Enio Capixaba. After 23 played minutes Inter Gala got a freekick which was hit by Armandinho Queiroz. Mauro Pombal took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Tauro. Ruben Tauro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Enio Capixaba hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Olívio Abraão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Ramirez in the 35th minute of play. Enio Capixaba got his second yellow card in the match during the 37th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Victor Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquilino Gotzon in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olívio Abraão saved Inter Gala from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, DEPORTIVO SJ's goalkeeper Ruben Tauro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mauro Pombal. In the 58th minute, Victoriano Criston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Emiliano Orkatz came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the DEPORTIVO SJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Orkatz couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute Ademar Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Tauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruben Tauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tales Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Mauro Pombal in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ruben Tauro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aquilino Gotzon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Abraão having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Emiliano Orkatz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruben Tauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Víktor Passos in the 85th minute of play. With a little luck, DEPORTIVO SJ's Ruben Tauro got control of the ball when Mauro Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, Ademar Figueiredo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ruben Tauro. Ademar Figueiredo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Inter Gala's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
