In the 7th minute of the match, Toto Schillaci tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Delfim Soares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The crowd rose to their feet as GUSESI's Toto Schillaci slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Delfim Soares. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Renegados's Cícero Maranhense got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Cruz in the 23rd minute of play forced GUSESI's goalkeeper Celso Oto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruben Cayo charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ruben Cayo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 28 minutes into the match, Renegados's goalkeeper Delfim Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Justino Astigar. In the 39th minute Toto Schillaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim Soares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toto Schillaci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delfim Soares came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by GUSESI's Ruben Cayo. But to his dismay, Ruben Cayo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.

In the 60th minute Ruben Cayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Soares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Toto Schillaci cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Delfim Soares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 76 played minutes Renegados got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Bittencourt. The supporters of Renegados booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiburcio Cuartio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led GUSESI's Tiburcio Cuartio to fire away a dangerous shot which Delfim Soares despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. GUSESI's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
