The referee ignored Fågelmara IK's protests and gave Johan Tönnberg a yellow card for diving instead. Johan Tönnberg hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Alfons Siggesson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Santos Kiliz. GUSESI's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfons Siggesson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Florentino Paul in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olov Lilja prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santos Kiliz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Siggesson, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Marco Ostargi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olov Lilja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Olov Lilja made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Paco Gento sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Fågelmara IK booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paco Gento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Ove Kullgren scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Kiliz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Isaias Rafe's late challenge caught a Fågelmara IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaias Rafe helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to GUSESI getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Isaias Rafe hit a great ball. The supporters of Fågelmara IK booed when GUSESI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Keegan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Per-Oskar Borre managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fågelmara IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Oskar Borre was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute, Kevin Keegan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Karl-Ove Kullgren scored 0-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Kiliz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Santos Kiliz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Siggesson in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florentino Paul stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Marco Ostargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentino Paul in the 53rd minute of play forced Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper Olov Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Fågelmara IK's Karl-Johan Qvarnström got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Marco Ostargi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfons Siggesson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Santos Kiliz came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfons Siggesson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 57th minute. Lars-Erik Kiempe hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. GUSESI's Florentino Paul got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Fågelmara IK's zone, Paco Gento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olov Lilja came out of the goal and Paco Gento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Fågelmara IK's goal looked a bit too open when Florentino Paul came free, but Olov Lilja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fågelmara IK's Olov Lilja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Ostargi in the 83rd minute of play. Florentino Paul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfons Siggesson took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santos Kiliz. Santos Kiliz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The audience was convinced that Florentino Paul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olov Lilja was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. The Fågelmara IK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
