In the 6th minute, Alfons Siggesson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Honorato Ihintza. The goal made the score 1-0. When Karl-Ove Kullgren came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Fågelmara IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Ove Kullgren couldn't finish the play. Yala's Niki Bundev managed to work through Fågelmara IK's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Niki Bundev dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Honorato Ihintza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfons Siggesson's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th match minute, Fågelmara IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars-Erik Esbjörnsson to maneuver through the defense. The referee felt a red card was in order, 24 minutes into the game, when Lars-Erik Esbjörnsson put in a rough tackle. 24 minutes into the game, one of Fågelmara IK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Karl-Ove Kullgren hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Montes in the 33rd minute of play forced Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper Olov Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Yala booed when Fågelmara IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Borre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Fågelmara IK defense, Norberto Erramu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olov Lilja. The Fågelmara IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olov Lilja should have stopped the shot. In the 38th match minute, Fågelmara IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaspar Veetõusme to maneuver through the defense. Niki Bundev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Omar Montes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Olov Lilja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Yala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Erramu to maneuver through the defense. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Montes to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Norberto Erramu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Lilja saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fågelmara IK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Niki Bundev scored to the left of an out of position Olov Lilja, making the score, 1-2. In the 54th minute, Johan Tönnberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olov Lilja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The long shot by Niki Bundev in the 65th minute really tested Olov Lilja's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Olov Lilja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Erramu in the 70th minute of the match. In the 75th minute, Omar Montes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Olov Lilja. The goal made the score 1-4. Fågelmara IK's Olov Lilja proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Fågelmara IK from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Montes in the 86th minute of play forced Fågelmara IK's goalkeeper Olov Lilja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Alfons Siggesson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fågelmara IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfons Siggesson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Fågelmara IK's zone, Niki Bundev stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olov Lilja came out of the goal and Niki Bundev tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yala played a much better game than Fågelmara IK and deserved their victory. The Fågelmara IK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
