Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hugo Sánchez to make the kick off. 51 minutes in the game Jacinto Urbez did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Francis Dukaj. 53 minutes into the match, GUSESI's goal looked a bit too open when Percy Romero came free, but Santos Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
