An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Springfält in the 17th minute of play forced Chaponnay FC's goalkeeper Csongor Kun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Chaponnay FC's Csongor Kun got control of the ball when Clemente Rubio tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Chaponnay FC's Smári Elin got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Orvar Bäckström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevan Brossier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Venancio Lop got free with Csongor Kun in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 38th match minute, Basavilbaso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Rubio to maneuver through the defense. After 41 minutes, Charly Boisson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaponnay FC and the Basavilbaso FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chaponnay FC's Charly Boisson got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Basavilbaso FC's Henric Springfält dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Venancio Lop came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Csongor Kun could save by the left post. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Csongor Kun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Gentza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th match minute, Chaponnay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sylvain Deman to maneuver through the defense. Orvar Bäckström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Rannou in the 66th minute of play. Csongor Kun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henric Springfält in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69thth minute of the game Henric Springfält who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chaponnay FC's Csongor Kun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Basavilbaso FC booed when Chaponnay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bakary Ramsamy didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Basavilbaso FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Radomir Ratulowski hit a great ball. After 78 played minutes Basavilbaso FC got a freekick which was hit by Radomir Ratulowski. 80 minutes into the match, Basavilbaso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arthur Rannou came free, but Orvar Bäckström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Csongor Kun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Rubio in the 83rd minute of play. Orvar Bäckström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arthur Rannou showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 84 minute of play. Arthur Rannou struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Orvar Bäckström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chaponnay FC. When the final whistle went the supporters of Chaponnay FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Basavilbaso FC side.
