Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damaso Lain in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viktor Pettersson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, Skövde AIK's Viktor Pettersson got control of the ball when Damaso Lain tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Krister Uggstedt in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Cityzens Mdz's Alberto Argider. If Damaso Lain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Skövde AIK's Viktor Pettersson got control of the ball when Damaso Lain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Viktor Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Lain in the 33rd minute of play. Damaso Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 41 played minutes Skövde AIK got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Fernandez. 42 minutes into the match, Cityzens Mdz's Lukasz Marut broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damaso Lain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Viktor Pettersson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damaso Lain in the 51st minute of play. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kevin Keegan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Melkior Thorslev made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Kevin Keegan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melkior Thorslev was relentless in the 86th minute of the game.
