But to his dismay, Miguel Diagur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The audience was convinced that Omar Maju's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hilário Salgado was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Esperanza Fútbol Club's Godofredo Firmin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodrigo Evis in the 45 minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gervasio Estebe to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Maju got free with Hilário Salgado in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hilário Salgado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miguel Diagur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 82 minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Miguel Diagur cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Hilário Salgado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 91st minute Miguel Diagur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilário Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hilário Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Diagur, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Capdevilla's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
