In the 8th minute, Prospero Perico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Perico in the 14th minute of play forced Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Ronnie Hellström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Skövde AIK's attentive Georg Norström managed to snatch the ball when Xu Ran Zhen made a throw-in in the 16th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Cortez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Skövde AIK's Ronnie Hellström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Prospero Perico in the 21st minute of play. Ronnie Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Montrel in the 24th minute of play. Ronnie Hellström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavao Zadro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nestor Cortez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kevin Keegan in the 27th minute. Nestor Cortez was a little too slow when Kevin Keegan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Kevin Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skövde AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Kevin Keegan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nestor Cortez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Lobos de Carelia's Pavao Zadro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronnie Hellström. Ronnie Hellström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. In the 61st minute, Pavao Zadro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Skövde AIK made a substitution. Jerry Williams replaced Kurt Hamrin. Pavao Zadro kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 63 minutes of play, Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nestor Cortez was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Lobos de Carelia booed when Skövde AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Brolin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lobos de Carelia's Cristobal Lia was substituted for Pavao Zadro. In the 72nd match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filip Brolin to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute, Skövde AIK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Prospero Perico fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 74 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's goalkeeper Ronnie Hellström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Prospero Perico. After 82 played minutes Lobos de Carelia got a freekick which was hit by Xiao Xiang Ling. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute.
