Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 4th minute of play forced FC Schonebeck's goalkeeper Lance Malliouris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boris Spengler scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Simon Drechsler kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lance Malliouris showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to FC Schonebeck getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Michael Laudrup hit a great ball. Lautaro Mancebo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Lautaro Mancebo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lance Malliouris was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt Persson in the 23rd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Bengt Persson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 2-0. Alberto Tafalla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lance Malliouris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 31st minute of play. Boris Spengler hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Joel Gaona might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lance Malliouris. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joel Gaona ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Bengt Persson could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Dante Lacasa however easily saved by the left post. After 46 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Tafalla. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance Malliouris prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lance Malliouris made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 56th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lance Malliouris, 2-1. In the 60th minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Lance Malliouris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Schonebeck's Anselm Hayer. But to his dismay, Anselm Hayer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Lance Malliouris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Malliouris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Schonebeck's Carmine Anastasi was substituted for Michael Laudrup. Joel Gaona was extremely unlucky when he, in the 80th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Lance Malliouris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lothar Drinkard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC Schonebeck could leave the field as winners, despite Mexico having more of the ball for most of the match.
