Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bengt Persson started the match with the kick off. Alberto Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Lance Malliouris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Schonebeck's Lance Malliouris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 5th minute of play. Boris Spengler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luca Rouco to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Some in the 14th minute of play. Lance Malliouris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lautaro Mancebo's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lautaro Mancebo sped through FC Schonebeck's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lance Malliouris. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Lance Malliouris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 played minutes FC Schonebeck got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Ekrem Avşar. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Boris Spengler in the 34th minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Luca Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Schonebeck's Lance Malliouris was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 36 minutes, Luca Zorita made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC Schonebeck's Lance Malliouris tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 38 minutes into the match, FC Schonebeck's goal looked a bit too open when Lautaro Mancebo came free, but Lance Malliouris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lance Malliouris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lance Malliouris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FC Schonebeck getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Paul Some hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Lance Malliouris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 52nd minute of play. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 53rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Luca Zorita managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Lance Malliouris made a huge save. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Lance Malliouris threw himself towards the right post 77 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberto Tafalla, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. FC Schonebeck's Carmine Anastasi was substituted for Michael Laudrup. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after FC Schonebeck's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. The corner ended in Alberto Tafalla almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Schonebeck's Lance Malliouris did a great save. Alberto Tafalla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Lance Malliouris 80 minutes into the match. Lance Malliouris took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lance Malliouris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Alberto Tafalla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Lance Malliouris made a huge save. In the 94th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lance Malliouris was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 95 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Lance Malliouris was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mexico's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
