The corner ended in Gilberto Jakobe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but De Ontembare Leeuwen's Heiko Som did a great save. Lealtad Futbol Club's Méndez Marfa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Kleinman in the 16th minute of play. Heiko Som made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Jakobe in the 21st minute of play. Méndez Marfa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Gustavo Anatibia in the 22nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Newman in the 26th minute of play forced Lealtad Futbol Club's goalkeeper Méndez Marfa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gilberto Jakobe sped through De Ontembare Leeuwen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Heiko Som. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilberto Jakobe to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Carlos Gustavo Anatibia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Méndez Marfa. That made the score 1-1 in the 85 minute of play. Méndez Marfa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Newman in the 88th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Toro Martínez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heiko Som saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
