Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The crowd rose to their feet as Hugo Bender kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ricardo Zorita. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorge Magrina during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Jorge Magrina hit a great ball. Moises Fernandino struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Erwin Teesing didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Salvador. Erwin Teesing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ricky Schattenberg in the 28 minute of the game. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd match minute, ASC South United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tonnie Cales to maneuver through the defense. When Mateo Leguizamo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Leguizamo couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hugo Bender was the one to do the kick off. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Bender, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant got a free kick in the 56th minute. Cees Hermensen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Zorita having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Moises Fernandino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erwin Teesing was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Hugo Bender scored 2-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 75 minutes into the game, Abram Luque was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. El Salvador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ASC South United the free kick. Abram Luque kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Luis Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moises Fernandino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of ASC South United:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of El Salvador:s goal. Erwin Teesing had in the 87thth minute some difficulties stopping Mateo Leguizamo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 88 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Valentino Ferrant. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Bender in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Cees Hermensen managed to get in a good position for a shot. ASC South United's supporters rose to their feet, but Cees Hermensen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Zorita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Hugo Bender stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Hugo Bender tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ASC South United fans cheered their team off the field, for while El Salvador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
