Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Dunajski in the 25th minute of the match. If Emil Dunajski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meng Yan Jing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 33rd minute of the match. After 33 minutes of play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Meng Yan Jing was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute, Emil Dunajski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fu Wei Di charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fu Wei Di the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Abandon All Hope was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fu Wei Di didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Ye Hong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Ye Hong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 45 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Meng Yan Jing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Meng Yan Jing having to make a save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Dunajski in the 57th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Dunajski in the 61st minute of play. After 65th play minutes Emil Dunajski shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emil Dunajski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Emil Dunajski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 76th minute of play. Fu Wei Di got a throw-in 78 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ye Hong. In the 79th minute, Emil Dunajski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Meng Yan Jing made a huge save. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 85th minute after Abandon All Hope's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing did a great save. Venezuela's Joshua Secada managed to work through Abandon All Hope's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joshua Secada dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Emil Dunajski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abandon All Hope's goalie prevented a goal. Abandon All Hope's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
