The Atlético de Crisal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cido Valle should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cido Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Cido Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atlético de Crisal's Cido Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play forced Atlético de Crisal's goalkeeper Cido Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kaká Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. After 52nd play minutes Luis Andino shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Cido Valle and just under the crossbar into goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 55th match minute, Atlético de Crisal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. After 57 played minutes Atlético de Crisal got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Ferreira. With a little luck, Atlético de Crisal's Cido Valle got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Cido Valle in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Cido Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Atlético de Crisal got a freekick which was hit by Vito Custódio. Atlético de Crisal made a substitution. Adelino Miranda replaced Kaká Ferreira. Vito Custódio hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido Valle having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético de Crisal's goalkeeper Cido Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Adelino Miranda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido Valle was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 0-5. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Atlético de Crisal.
