Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jannich Drevsing in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 17th match minute, FC Hyklerne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zbyszko Falkiewicz to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jannich Drevsing made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 25th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jannich Drevsing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jannich Drevsing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Nørrehvedde in the 41st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Daniel Zorita hit a great ball. Asmund Geinæs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jannich Drevsing having to make a save. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
