Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when António Mendes made the kick off which started today's match. Mateus Teves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 6th minute of the match. Fábio Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Mateus Teves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Mateus Teves came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Claudemiro Aveiro fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academia Monte Gordo's protests and gave Claudemiro Aveiro a yellow card for diving instead. António Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mateus Teves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Academia Monte Gordo's Mateus Teves. Mateus Teves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 29 minutes, Agustín Saelices managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agustín Saelices was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Academia Monte Gordo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Campelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mateus Teves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Academia Monte Gordo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Di Maria didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Cristian Sancho made a precise shot to the right of Mateus Teves. Academia Monte Gordo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of play forced Academia Monte Gordo's goalkeeper Mateus Teves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when António Mendes came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabino Valverde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. After 55 played minutes Academia Monte Gordo got a freekick which was hit by Claudemiro Aveiro. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Frederico Campelo got a free kick in the 57th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Academia Monte Gordo's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Mateus Teves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabino Valverde kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Mateus Teves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Monte Gordo's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Teves came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mateus Teves, 0-5. The crowd rose to their feet as Cristian Sancho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mateus Teves. That made the score 0-6 in the 79 minute of play. In the 86th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
