After taking down the ball on Sporting Cristal's corner Tobias Larsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cemalettin Yatman quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lu Hai Feng in the 24th minute of play forced Sporting Cristal's goalkeeper Jon Iruegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Sporting Cristal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delfino Rosario to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute Leonidas Arias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jon Iruegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonidas Arias took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jon Iruegas. Jon Iruegas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 37 minutes into the match, Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper Cemalettin Yatman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Luciano. The supporters of Sporting Cristal booed when Mitnarotov FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anıl Ege Ufuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Sporting Cristal's Fernanco Peso made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cemalettin Yatman was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute, Anıl Ege Ufuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper Cemalettin Yatman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Mitnarotov FC's Anıl Ege Ufuk got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Fernanco Peso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sporting Cristal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1.
