Iason Plexioudas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norbert Rakowski scored 2-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute of the match Mateo Leguizamo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iason Plexioudas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Luque in the 34th minute of play forced MELATES F.C.'s goalkeeper Iason Plexioudas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute of the match El Salvador got a corner. MELATES F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mateo Leguizamo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to MELATES F.C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Norbert Rakowski hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abram Luque struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iason Plexioudas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee showed Panos Chasiotis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norbert Rakowski couldn't finish the play. Notis Mantarinakis kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Jesus Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in El Salvador's zone, Norbert Rakowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Zorita came out of the goal and Norbert Rakowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MELATES F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while El Salvador had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
