Angelo Peruzzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Abubakar in the 11th minute of play. Angelo Peruzzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Abubakar, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Momentum FC's goalkeeper Tor Echegoyen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dmitry Ilyushin. Luís Fabiano Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Gernando Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 41 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund MZB's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Martxel came free, but Angelo Peruzzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

After a rather tough play, Momentum FC's Kai Brüggemann got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 56th minute Gernando Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor Echegoyen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Peruzzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Abubakar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tor Echegoyen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fabiano Leão in the 61st minute of the match. Borussia Dortmund MZB's Angelo Peruzzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Abubakar in the 62nd minute of play. Gernando Pernambucano hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund MZB getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Gernando Pernambucano hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund MZB's goalkeeper Angelo Peruzzi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ismael Furlan. Ismael Furlans short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Angelo Peruzzi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.

The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Borussia Dortmund MZB were victorious despite being under pressure from Momentum FC for much of the match.
