Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitaliy Krylatov in the 15th minute of the match. Florin Dorlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romon Oliver, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goalkeeper Demonde Jacobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ove Lövkvist. Romon Oliver's late challenge caught a IFK Göteborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as IFK Göteborg's Mattias Kilman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Demonde Jacobson. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
