Winthont FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Agustín Saelices notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Winthont FC's Fokke Bergman. Fokke Bergman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Floris Talsma's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Floris Talsma helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Winthont FC's Floris Talsma got a free kick in the 31st minute. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fokke Bergman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Koos Masker hit a great ball. Koos Masker hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Fokke Bergman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kurt Neijsen's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Winthont FC's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fokke Bergman came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eelco Neijsen to make the kick off. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Winthont FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The supporters of Winthont FC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Saelices didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Fokke Bergman made a huge save. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fokke Bergman came out and tried to block the shot, but Cristian Sancho slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 68th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ecuador's Cristian Sancho slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fokke Bergman. That made the score 0-5 after 72 minutes of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fokke Bergman having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Fokke Bergman in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Floris Talsma kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. A collision led to Winthont FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Koos Masker hit a great ball. Winthont FC's Fokke Bergman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Winthont FC from getting a goal against them. Winthont FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Cristian Sancho 90 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. When the match had gone on for 98 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Fokke Bergman. The Winthont FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
