Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gökalp Gümüşcüoğlu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 9 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joaquin Gayoso stood somewhat misplaced when Roger Bannister came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 12 minute. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roger Bannister's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Jacinto Cavalcante could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Uruguay's goalie and right to Roger Bannister. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Uruguay's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veto Bernal in the 28th minute of play. After 32nd play minutes Roger Bannister shot 3-1, a short shot which went by Joaquin Gayoso and just under the crossbar into goal. Roger Bannister recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roger Bannister got in the 38th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Joaquin Gayoso handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great ball. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Uruguay from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Bannister in the 52nd minute of play. Wasyl Redisz hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 60th match minute, Rayland FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloi Bermudo to maneuver through the defense. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximiliano Escribano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rayland FC made a substitution. Arnoldo Loco replaced Delfino Tegeiro. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Roger Bannister managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rayland FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Bannister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 70th minute Roger Bannister shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute Rayland FC were awarded a corner. Eloi Bermudo went to the cornerflag to take it. Francisco Seco struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gökalp Gümüşcüoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uruguay. After some careless play in the Uruguay defense, Roger Bannister kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. The Uruguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joaquin Gayoso should have stopped the shot. In the 81stth minute of the game Roger Bannister who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gökalp Gümüşcüoğlu made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Gökalp Gümüşcüoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Cazalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rayland FC had won after a very even match.
