But to his dismay, Rafal Cichewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ksawery Gongola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eşref Tuney read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pepijn Hummel in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eşref Tuney saved Vetevendosje FC from getting behind. Eşref Tuney took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ksawery Gongola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eşref Tuney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pepijn Hummel in the 37th minute of play. Eşref Tuney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepijn Hummel in the 44th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenneth Lundberg during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pepijn Hummel to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Gongola in the 53rd minute of play forced Vetevendosje FC's goalkeeper Eşref Tuney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Pepijn Hummel lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Eşref Tuney. Job Gasteren in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eşref Tuney, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Vetevendosje FC's Eşref Tuney got control of the ball when Job Gasteren tried to sneak it across the goal line. FFC Merainies 03's Fabio Botello suffered a sore foot after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Roland Rosendahl fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vetevendosje FC's protests and gave Roland Rosendahl a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FFC Merainies 03 booed when Vetevendosje FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roland Rosendahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Job Gasterens short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Eşref Tuney to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vetevendosje FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
