Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 played minutes Portus Ganda got a freekick which was hit by Güralp Ergüleç. Bruno Marceau took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tony Vanbuyten. Portus Ganda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fabio Botello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Vanbuyten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Jüri Djorkaeff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Rıdvan İbrahimoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Portus Ganda got a freekick which was hit by Jüri Djorkaeff. In the 95th minute of the match, Leon Craandijk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tony Vanbuyten saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
