In the 15th match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Abeita to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Sydney FC defense, Domingo Manni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sebastian Titz. The Sydney FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastian Titz should have stopped the shot. Sebastian Titz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Manni in the 25th minute of the match. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 邓延云 in the 27th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Milanese got free with Boubacar Caragea in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The corner was taken by 邓延云 in the 30th minute. Önder Cebi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Boubacar Caragea made a huge save. Sebastian Titz came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by ≮王者归来≯日本浦和红宝石's Gumaro Leturia. But to his dismay, Gumaro Leturia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sydney FC's Günter Vogelweide was substituted for Önder Cebi. In the 47th minute Domingo Manni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Titz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emanuel Ogășanu to make the kick off. Denis Elorri hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A nice corner shot did that Ferdinand Mendy got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Boubacar Caragea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Milanese in the 74th minute of play forced ≮王者归来≯日本浦和红宝石's goalkeeper Boubacar Caragea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Milanese took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Boubacar Caragea. Boubacar Caragea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Angelo Milanese's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boubacar Caragea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Sydney FC's Sebastian Titz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Sydney FC from getting a goal against them. 81 minutes into the game, ≮王者归来≯日本浦和红宝石's Gumaro Leturia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastian Titz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. 85 minutes into the match, ≮王者归来≯日本浦和红宝石's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Ogășanu came free, but Boubacar Caragea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 麦风峰 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 95th minute Günter Vogelweide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boubacar Caragea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
