An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Ogășanu in the 9th minute of play forced Pagos FC's goalkeeper Manuel Campens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuralp Akbal scored 0-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Titz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sydney FC's Günter Vogelweide was substituted for Önder Cebi. Manuel Campens made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Emanuel Ogășanu sent off a good shot on target. Nuralp Akbal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Titz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Sebastian Titz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuralp Akbal, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Nuralp Akbal made a precise shot to the right of Sebastian Titz. Sydney FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The throw-in from Kai Petermann in the 44th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pagos FC's Pepe Sabatini. In the 45th match minute, Sydney FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Milanese to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Pagos FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Pagos FC's Nuralp Akbal got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Campens came out of the goal and Emanuel Ogășanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuralp Akbal scored 0-4 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Titz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Emanuel Ogășanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Emanuel Ogășanu sped through Pagos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Campens. The audience was convinced that Christos Bartzokas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sebastian Titz was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Pagos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximilian Carlsson in the 93rd minute. After taking down the ball on Pagos FC's corner Ionel Mirea fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sebastian Titz quite easily take care of the ball. Pagos FC's Maximilian Carlsson got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
