Artur Hodyl made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Galo do Japi's Cauan Catarinense. With a little luck, Galo do Japi's Ronaldo Giovanelli got control of the ball when Wieslaw Lichucki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldo Giovanelli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wieslaw Lichucki's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wieslaw Lichucki in the 27th minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Carlos Santana made a precise shot to the right of Feliks Szkarpiak. ACF Gigliati's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Carlos Santana might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Feliks Szkarpiak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Santana ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, ACF Gigliati's goalkeeper Feliks Szkarpiak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Santana. In the 85th minute, Carlos Santana made a precise shot to the right of Feliks Szkarpiak. ACF Gigliati's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Feliks Szkarpiak stood somewhat misplaced when Carlos Santana came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 88 minute. The Galo do Japi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Galo do Japi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
