Barça's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tomas Illescas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmund Makomaski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krzysztof Gibowski in the 14th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Edmund Makomaski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Krzysztof Gibowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barça's supporters rose to their feet, but Krzysztof Gibowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zachary Chojnacki in the 34th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zbyszko Tomiczek during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edmund Makomaski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 43 played minutes Barça got a freekick which was hit by Zbyszko Tomiczek.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Barça was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Gregory didn't get a good kick on the ball. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Gibowski in the 56th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Krzysztof Gibowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Alex Chicote hit a great ball. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmund Makomaski having to interfere. Tucker Zybelin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. 76 minutes into the game, Krzysztof Gibowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Barça's Edmund Makomaski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 79th minute of play. If Rafal Jazowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barça made a substitution. Burak Krawczyk replaced Vinicio Gregory. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krzysztof Gibowski in the 90th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zbyszko Tomiczek hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 93 minutes of play, Barça's Krzysztof Gibowski made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. Barça walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
