Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Doctor Strange had several of the Colombia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 7 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Pedro Manzanares as he didn't even see the shot coming. Percy Fernandez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Reginaldo Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 18th minute of play forced Sport Clube Recife's goalkeeper Percy Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Percy Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Percy Fernandez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Montenegro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Reginaldo Brodel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Percy Fernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 28th minute of play. Dong Yang Bang's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Pedro Manzanares firmly grabbed it by the left post. 42 minutes into the match, Colombia's Kevin Mastache sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Percy Fernandez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doctor Strange in the 44th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Doctor Strange came free, but Pedro Manzanares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Percy Fernandez. Sport Clube Recife's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Percy Fernandez was a little too slow when Axel Montenegro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 56th minute, Abram Sarmiento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colombia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Abram Sarmiento in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Percy Fernandez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doctor Strange in the 61st minute of the match. Doctor Strange struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Clube Recife. Doctor Strange hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Pablo Lampard scored 3-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ignacio Mastache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doctor Strange's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After 88 played minutes Sport Clube Recife got a freekick which was hit by Remo Carvalho. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Kevin Mastache got a free kick in the 89th minute. Kevin Mastache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percy Fernandez having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Doctor Strange in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Pablo Lampard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sport Clube Recife had played much better football throughout.
