In the 3rd minute Francisco Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Austen Farrow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wlodzimierz Penczkowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joaquin Gayoso came out and tried to block the shot, but Wlodzimierz Penczkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Arturo Carvallo hit a great ball. Wlodzimierz Penczkowski took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Wlodzimierz Penczkowski sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd match minute, Cementerio Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Americo Izel to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Penczkowski came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wlodzimierz Penczkowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 37 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Francisco Seco sped through Cementerio Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Austen Farrow. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cementerio Club:s goal. In the 57th match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wlodzimierz Penczkowski in the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Cementerio Club booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Carvallo didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Camilo Franco hit a great ball. Cementerio Club's Saatxan Gentiletti was substituted for Fulgencio Valente. Americo Izel was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. 93 minutes into the game, one of Cementerio Club:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Cementerio Club defense, Jaime Cazalla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Austen Farrow. The Cementerio Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Austen Farrow should have stopped the shot. Austen Farrow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 100th minute of play. A collision led to Uruguay getting a freekick after 103 minutes play. Bruno Beldad hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Demario in the 104th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cementerio Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uruguay had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
