Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victorino Geofredo started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Danilo Abeitia. Sp. Mataderos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sp. Mataderos's zone, Daniel Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Abeitia came out of the goal and Daniel Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Sp. Mataderos's Aldo Salomone. But to his dismay, Aldo Salomone quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 15th match minute, Sp. Mataderos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Salomone to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danilo Abeitia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 19 minutes into the match, Sp. Mataderos's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Danilo Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Abeitia having to interfere. Sp. Mataderos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 24th minute, Matias Mogel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Danilo Abeitia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 37 minutes into the match, Sp. Mataderos's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Danilo Abeitia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Abeitia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Victorino Geofredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo Abeitia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sp. Mataderos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Danilo Abeitia in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Sp. Mataderos getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Maximiliano Oriche hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Danilo Abeitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sp. Mataderos's Victorino Geofredo got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danilo Abeitia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Luis Andino hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Victorino Geofredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sp. Mataderos.
