A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s Dráusio Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolando Noboa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mustafa Cumhur Gök read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. DENVER™'s Mustafa Cumhur Gök played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 20th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Seb Hedges sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Seb Hedges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mustafa Cumhur Gök was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliseo Mina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mustafa Cumhur Gök having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Gavruță in the 59th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Mustafa Cumhur Gök reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, DENVER™'s Mustafa Cumhur Gök got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 63 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Julian Murillo. In the 66th minute, Remus Gavruță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, DENVER™'s Alfredo Leite got a free kick in the 68th minute. Leonardo Cruz replaced Alfredo Leite. In the 77th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. Emmanuel Reyes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remus Gavruță in the 80th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Cosme Zaccardi made in the 84th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Remus Gavruță. If Remus Gavruță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Seb Hedges cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Peru's Joaquin Prats got a free kick in the 96th minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
